Barutana Stage, Kamnik

free entry

We are pleased to announce that we are once again partnering with Kamfest to present a musical evening on the Barutana Stage at Kamfest. The event is a pre-event of the SONICA Festival: Labyrinth gives way to skin. Expect an intoxicating and jolting dance experience of live drumming and an audiovisual fusion of jazz, dance electronica and krautrock. Tanz mit Barutana!

BLACK PULSE (AT)
Black Pulse is the solo project of renowned Viennese drummer, percussionist and electrophonist Bernhard Breuer, the unmistakable driving force behind the internationally renowned Viennese bands Elektro Guzzi, Innode, Metalycée and Tumido, with whom he embarks on organic dissections of rhythm and pulse in the contexts of techno, experimental electronica, noise rock, industrial and beyond. Black Pulse is pure rhythm. Breuer creates hypnotic rhythms, pounding melodies and dark drones live and transforms them into a pulsating, danceable, jittery and intoxicating soundscape of industrial, techno and dub music.

Black Pulse is presented as part of the SHAPE Platform, co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme.

ETCETERAL (SI)
Etceteral is an audiovisual trio of saxophonist Boštjan Simon, drummer Marek Fakuč and visual artist Lina Rica. Their music explores repetitive, polyrhythmic electroacoustic music and draws on kraut rock, contemporary jazz and electronic practices, and the juxtapositions between sound and visual imagery. Their debut album ‘Ama-gi’ (Kapa Records, 2020) received excellent reviews at home, and their live performances, which have already taken them to well-known international stages, are currently one of the main stage attractions in the country.

Museum of Transitory Art

MoTA –

Museum of Transitory Art

MoTA is a multidisciplinary platform dedicated to advancing the research, production and presentation of transitory, experimental, and live art forms.

MoTA is a museum without a permanent collection or a fixed space. Instead, its programs are realised in different locations and contexts in temporary physical and virtual spaces.

MoTA organizes and supports transitory art in the form of continuous events, exhibitions and educational programs both locally and internationally. As its name indicates, MoTA examines what a museum can be today and in the future.

MoTA is in constant search for the new, the uncertain, and the undefined.

MoTA works on several continuous programmes & projects. We run MoTA Point – a Space for Art & Ideas, we curate and produce the annual SONICA Festival, in addition to regular music programmes such as SONICA Series and SONICA Classics.

Within the years of running our residency programme, we’ve established T.R.I.B.E. – a network of residency spaces in the Balkans & Eastern Europe.

We’ve also initiated the research and archive platforms ArtistTalk.eu and Mediateque MoTA & Tomaž Brate. Our educational programmes serve a broader audience with ongoing workshops, talks, symposia, and internships.
