MY DAILY NOISE (SUI, FR)

Daniel Buess- percussion & effects
Kasper T. Toeplitz- bass & electronics

MY DAILY NOISE
is the duo of Swiss drummer Daniel Buess & French basist Kasper T. Toeplitz, playing loud, aggressive music, using symphonic bass drums, giant springs, noise effects, low strings, lots of sub-bass and tons of distortion. Their music is one big hollow drone, a powerfull whirpool of emotional landscapes that will shake the hell out of your body and ears and took you on an adventurous journey to your inner self.

DANIEL BUESS (SUI)
Daniel plays with contemporary ensemble Phoenix Ensemble, Basel, but also in different noise units and solo. He likes big drums, metal and heavy sounds. In most of his own independent projects and performances which preferably happen at unusual places like car-workshops, Daniel makes an extensive use of his self-made percussion devices, built of different materials and electronics. Daniel was and is still involved in various groups and Ensembles in the realm of experimental and improvised music, like Ensemble Phœnix Basel, B&B (with the flautist Christoph Bösch), MIR (with Papiro and Michael Zaugg) Buggatronic (with James Hullick). His collaborations include artists like Alex Buess, Hany Bedair, Knut Remond, Zbigniew Karkowski, Kasper T.Toeplitz, John Duncan, Michael Wertmüller, Phill Niblock, Julio Estrada, Stephan Wittwer, Volker Heyn, Thomas Lauck, Tim Hodgkinson, Iancu Dumitrescu and many others.

KASPER T. TOEPLITZ (FR)
Kasper composes music between noise and contemporary and plays in many different set-ups, from orchestra to noise-gigs. He plays his bass through a computer. He has collaborated and released records with Zbigniew Karkowski, Julien Ottavi, Z’ev, Tetsuo Furodate and legendary prog rock group Art Zoyd. He was also a member of legendary noise supergroup Senssuround Orchestra and has written numerous compostions for classical ensembles and small groups, electronic music and electro-acoustic music. He performs pieces written specially for him by legendary composers Phill Niblock and Eliane Radigue. He has released more than 20 records on international labels.

Museum of Transitory Art

MoTA –

Museum of Transitory Art

MoTA is a multidisciplinary platform dedicated to advancing the research, production and presentation of transitory, experimental, and live art forms.

MoTA is a museum without a permanent collection or a fixed space. Instead, its programs are realised in different locations and contexts in temporary physical and virtual spaces.

MoTA organizes and supports transitory art in the form of continuous events, exhibitions and educational programs both locally and internationally. As its name indicates, MoTA examines what a museum can be today and in the future.

MoTA is in constant search for the new, the uncertain, and the undefined.

MoTA works on several continuous programmes & projects. We run MoTA Point – a Space for Art & Ideas, we curate and produce the annual SONICA Festival, in addition to regular music programmes such as SONICA Series and SONICA Classics.

Within the years of running our residency programme, we’ve established T.R.I.B.E. – a network of residency spaces in the Balkans & Eastern Europe.

We’ve also initiated the research and archive platforms ArtistTalk.eu and Mediateque MoTA & Tomaž Brate. Our educational programmes serve a broader audience with ongoing workshops, talks, symposia, and internships.
