MoTA, SONICA Festival and Kino Šiška present a workshop with American electronic music pioneer Suzanne Ciani dedicated to aspiring female, female-identifying and non-binary electronic music artists. Suzanne Ciani is performing at Kino Šiška on 20 October 2025.
During the 3-hour workshop, Ciani will focus on her legendary Buchla cookbook from 1976, which continues to provide answers to some key questions of analog sound synthesis.
Participants will download a rack patch for the free and open-source cross-platform software modular synthesizer VCV Rack, which will be used during the workshop. The workshop will be held in English. Sign up if you want to expand your knowledge of modular synthesis with one of the most respected and important electronic music artists!

In your application, you must include your CV and a motivational letter. Based on the CV and motivational letter, the festival team will pick 15 participants. You can apply at sonica@motamuseum.com.
