The audiovisual live-act of the Slovenian techno and experimental electronic duo Random Logic joining their latest album release is not only their first foray into the field of audio-visual performance but also marks their decisive step out of techno into the experimental field of sounds that takes influences from techno, IDM, ambient and contemporary club culture while still maintaining their hallmark sound. It also announces and celebrates the audiovisual release of their latest album π to be published by MoTA in May 2015. The album is a direct result of a decade spent researching music as the art of time and endorses the sonic and visual expression of duration. Formed as a single continuous set, it seeks an attentive listener wishing to benefit from hearing imperfect and unrepeatable sounds caught in loops.
Random Logic – Miha Klemenčič and Gregor Zemljič – are regarded as the pioneers of Slovene contemporary electronic and ambient techno music. Their internationally acclaimed first album Numrebs was released under the music label Tehnika in 2001 and gained enthusiastic press all over the world.
Their live act features video art created by Izland (Gašper Milkovič Biloslav in Marko Vivoda). π is an immersive AV experience, at times abstract and poetic at most times rhythmic and pulsating in a swirl of analogue sounds and beats accompanied with abstract visuals. π has all the digital precision gained with fascinating analogue techniques.
